  Awesome experience..once I arrived! I was snowmobiling and broke down in the bush about 20k from Bonfield when heading to Cedar Gables. I was lucky and got towed to a shop where they attempted to repair my snowmobile over the next three days. In the meantime I stayed at Cedar Gables Lodge with Joanne and Darcy the owners. They treated me like family. Darcy drove me to get some supplies in his personal vehicle about 8k each way and would not accept anything. The accommodations are very comfortable and tastefully decorated, and the food was excellent. Try the omelette! Joanne is a fantastic cook and to top it off they both have a great personality to make your stay as pleasant as possible. I plan on taking my wife there this summer for our anniversary. There is plenty to do with hiking trails and horseback riding close by. I will also be planning to stay there again this winter on my next snowmobile trip...with my new sled:) Great spot!!

  My friend and I spent a night in the rustic house last weekend. Everything was we imagined it would be--quiet , peaceful and relaxing. The house was filled with antiques and cozy quilts, with windows framing the picturesque view of the nature..Landscape is breath taking ! It was a real step back in time. We loved it!

  Family atmosphere. Cozy compfy rooms. Magnificent woodland setting with nature often knocking at the door. My favourite lodge anywhere. It always makes me feel at home.
